Allison Brooks Janney, an American actress, was born in the year 1959. Her performance on screen and the stage have been highly praised throughout the span of her 3-decade career. Janney was the winner of numerous awards. They include an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award along with many others. She has won seven Primetime Emmy Awards were also handed out to Janney. In addition, she was considered for nominations to win two Tony Awards. Janney was born in Boston and was raised at Dayton (Ohio). When she graduated from Kenyon College, she received an entire scholarship to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Janney began her TV debut in 1999. She appeared as C. J. Cregg as part of NBC's politic program The West Wing from 1999-2006, where she received Four Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2014 for Outstanding Actresses in Drama Series. She won this award for her role as Margaret Scully in Showtime's drama Masters of Sex. Janney received nominations several times in the Primetime Emmy Awards and twice took home the Outstanding Supporting Actress Comedy Series.
